Alan is the front man for indie band "Waiting Room", who perform regularly in Melbourne at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow and also tour the UK annually.

They have also released two albums and several singles on iTunes (and CD) and have performed on various UK radio and TV shows since forming in 2004.
