PANTO star and Neighbours legend Alan Fletcher is to play
an extra music gig to say goodbye to his North-east fans.
Fletch has squeezed in the performance because he has had
such a ball in Aberdeen.
He is to play an intimate set at The Lemon Tree Lounge on
Saturday, January 3 on the eve of the curtain falling
on HMTpanto Peter Pan.
The actor, who has won acclaim for his star turn as Captain
Hook, said: “From the day of my arrival in Aberdeen I have
received an overwhelmingly positive response to my performance
in Peter Pan.”
Fletch, who plays regularly with his own band, Waiting Room,
said he had the pleasure of performing his music to 450 enthusiastic
fans at a gig in Moshulu.
He wowed the audience with song picks ranging from The Killers
and the Beatles to his own work.
Fletch said: “Idelighted The Lemon Tree has invited
me to perform at their prestigious venue.&rdquo
“I hope fans of Peter Pan, Waiting Room and Neighbours
alike, will come and party with me as I celebrate my enjoyable
time in the Granite City.”
It is expected other cast members of Peter Pan, which has
been sponsored by the Evening Express, will be on stage and in
the audience to join in the fun.
And there will be an opportunity for concert-goers to grab
a chat with Fletch after the set.
