Neighbours favourite Alan Fletcher is to release a single
about his on-screen wife Susan Kennedy.
Fletcher, best known as Dr Karl Kennedy on the Aussie soap,
has recorded the single with his band Waiting Room.
The actor, who finished in sixth place on ITV talent show
Soapstar Superstar, formed the band with two musicians he met
in a restaurant three years ago.
He said: A friend of mine wrote it. He actually wrote a song
called "I've got a crush on Dr Karl".
He said would I sing it for a children's talking book thing?
I said I'd be delighted but couldn't really get up there and
sing about having a crush on myself so I adapted it to "I've
got a crush on Susie K".
Its a lovely song about a young fan having a crush on Susan
Kennedy, he said on ITV's Loose Women.
