Call Girl the Musical
Good news for fans in Melbourne later this year as they will
be able to catch Alan in two theatre productions. Following the
previous news of Fletch's role in Mame (which runs from the 1st
to the 5th October), we can now announce that he will appear
in Girl the Musical’, a brand new Australian
production set in a call centre. He will feature in the lead
role as super salesman, Frank. The musical will run at the Phoenix
Theatre in Elwood between 23 31 October. Details on how

LucySong
Alan has been involved in the recording of a song to be released
to promote the Field of Women event and to raise funds for the
Linda McCartney Centre in the UK. “LucySong”
, which will be released on itunes on the 30th June, was recorded
in Liverpool, London, New York, Virginia and Melbourne. Deep
Purplebassist Roger Glover, Steve Balsamo of The Storys
and BrooksideJo Birchall are among the other musicians
to have participated.
The Field of Women event takes place on July 6th 2008 at Liverpool
Cricket Club and will see 10,000 people form the silhouette of
a woman called Lucy. Lucy is an acronym for Listen Up, Check
Yourself and is designed to help raise awareness of breast cancer.

Panto 2008
Fletch will appear at His MajestyTheatre in Aberdeen this
year in the pantomine Peter Pan. He will play Captain
Hook in the panto which runs from December 6th until January

The official Alan Fletcher website can reveal that Fletch will
be visiting the UK later this year and details of where you will
be able to see him will be announced shortly. Waiting Room, however,

Mame
Fletch will re-create the role of Beauregard in the musical
Mame this October, a role he played back in 1999. Mame
runs from October 1st to October 5th at Melbourne's State Theatre.

Festive Gigs
Waiting Room will be performing on the 23rd December in SYDNEY
at The Scary Canary, 469 Kent Street, Sydney. Doors open at 8pm.
The band will then be at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow in Melbourne
on Xmas Eve as part of the Neighbours Night.

New Single
To coincide with the tour Waiting Room are releasing their new
single SO WRONG. It will be available on ITunes from November
26, 2007. You can preview the new song by clicking here.
New Live Album
Waiting Room are also releasing their new LIVE CD. This
compilation contains covers of iconic songs such as Best of
You, I Predict a Riot, Chelsea Dagger, Somebody Told Me, Tainted
Love, Living on a Prayer plus many others. Waiting Room songs
Just Like Me, Give Me One More Chance and It's Your
Fault are also in there. Recorded at The Elephant and Wheelbarrow
in Melbourne - home of the famous Neighbours Night - ita

Full UK tour details
Fletch and Waiting Room arrive in the UK on November 24 to commence
their fifth tour of the UK.
They will appear in Edinburgh, Belfast, Bangor, Bournemouth,
Winchester, Liverpool, London, Bath, Reading, Stoke on Trent,

Yorkshire gig announced
We are very pleased to be able to announce a gig in Yorkshire
as part of the next UK tour. Waiting Room will perform at Walkabout
Doncaster, Cnr. Printing Office St. and Priory Walk, Doncaster,
DN1 1TS on Thursday 13th December 2007. There should be a few
more gigs announced for the UK tour, so keep checking back!

New Waiting Room gig date added to the tour
Waiting Room will perform at the Bath Pavilion on the 6th
December. The band played to a sell out crowd at Bath University
on their last tour and are looking forward to returning to the
city. The Pavilion, on North Parade Road, has played host to
bands such as Led Zepellin, The Beatles and The Who and, more
recently, Oasis and Blur. Tickets go on sale on August 1st from

National Television Awards
The nominations for the 2007 National Television Awards have
been announced and Fletch is nominated in the Most Popular Actor
category. Other Neighbours related nominations are Jackie Woodburne
for Most Popular Actress and Neighbours for Most Popular Serial
Drama. Voting closes on the 3rd August and the ceremony will

Fletch has been nominated for Best Actor in the Inside Soap
Awards 2007. Fans can also vote for “Karl and Susan”

Madge Bishop at the Official Neighbours Night
Last Monday night Anne Charleston (Madge Bishop) join Fletch
at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow for the Official Neighbours Night
- and the 290 fans that joined them were pretty thrilled to see
her as well! Anne had such a good time shegoing again next
Monday night (14th May). Shejoin Kym Valentine, who will

Neighbours has bid a tearful farewell to four favourite
sons and daughters over the last month with Stephanie McIntosh
(Sky), Kyle Marsh (Boyd), Nell Feeney (Janelle) and Sianoa Smit-McPhee
(Bree) departing Neighbours. Stephanie is off to the UK very
soon to pursue her music career, Kyle will be in the UK also
and Sianoa is moving straight into another Fremantle Media programme
for Disney.

We have just learnt that Fletch's appearance on Soapstar Superstar
raised £15,000 for the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool.
A huge thank you to everyone who voted. The money from your calls
has made a big difference to this wonderful organisation that
assists and treats Breast cancer patients.
